I had repeated complaints about the WASP 3 Helicopters servos moving uncontrollably, and the helicopter spinning, and with little control. I asked Skyartec about it. Their comments were;

Check for correct tail rotor rotation, (belt could be in wrong).

Servo correct setting should be in the center, perhaps a little to the right.

I followed the suggestions, and found that the belt was in wrong. I placed the setting as instructed. When I did that the heli was fine.

I have found that sometimes the little parts in the tail rotor are a little too tight, and need to be loosened.

You also need to be sure that ALL batteries are in good condition. If they are low, it may cause some unusual behaviour.

If you have other RC Helicopter issues please contact; http://www.skyartec.com/Server.asp

RC helicopter has become one of the more popular “boy toys” that hit and hit big. Its popularity is not surprising at all. Imagine fulfilling your dream of flying an aircraft without spending too much. RC helicopter usually come in either gas or electric powered. Here are the things you should know about the two:Electric RC Helicopter;If you are a novice rc enthusiast, then the most advisable thing to buy is the electric rc helicopter. The reasons are simple. Electric RC Helicopter is simpler than other types of rc helicopters especially the gas RS’s. With the electric, you don’t have to deal with the engine and the gas it will consume. You would not need to have proper knowledge about mechanics just to make it fly. You don’t have to spend a lot of time reader the manual just to understand how it works. And if the helicopter fails, you don’t have to figure out how to fix it.If you are thinking that electric rc helicopter would not fly for long then you should change your perspective. Most modern electric rc’s are powered by lithium batteries and coupled with brushless motors. This makes it fly much longer. In fact it can out last some of the gas rc’s.And last thing: It is quiet on air thus you cannot disturb other’s privacy.Gas RC Helicopter;A more experienced rc helicopter pilot prefers gas powered rc helicopters for several reasons. One is, flying gas rc helicopter flies like flying a full-size helicopter since the sound that the engine creates can trigger excitement. Oh! You might think that it is quite absurd. But no! The sound of the engine makes it more exciting to fly. Another reason is that gas rc helicopter is more complicated that keeps its pilot more addicted with it. Why? This is because the pilot is not only limited to flying the helicopter alone. Pilot is involved with how the mechanics of the RC. This gives him more reason to become excited on the RC.

Choosing between an Electric RC Helicopter and a gas RC helicopter is up to you. Evaluate carefully so that you get most out of your rc flying experien

We have a very easy way to upgrade your 72. RC Transmitter! You simply unplug the small module at the back of your transmitter, and plug in the Corona 2.4, and that is it.  Our new Corona 2.4GHz transmitter module and receiver are designed to completely eliminate radio interference and glitches which have troubled model hobbyists
for years. The software designed exclusively for the transmitting module and receiver instantly locates and assigns safe and protected channels.
Other flyers in the area can not create interference that normally would corrupt transmitter signals.

The Corona 2.4GHz  adheres strictly to Frequency-Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) communication standards by constantly switching across a wide band of frequencies. Combining Corona’s software with FHSS we have designed a transmitter and receiver capable of providing modelers the highest performing radio system available.

RC Helicopters can be a test the skills new hobbyist at the best of times. Many beginner hobby flyers find RC flying a challenge. Learning to fly RC helicopters begins with proper setup.  First make sure that all connections on your model are secure, there may be a broken part that you need to fix. Follow proper procedure to turn on your heli; first turn on the TX, make sure that all the trims are in the center, and the throttle trim and control is down. Plug the battery in, and you should hear a `beep, beep`. Next put the throttle to full on. It will go `beep beep` again, then pull the throttle down. It will play a tune, and you are ready. If you use the new Skyartec 7 ch, or the 6 ch you can go to; http://www.skyartec.com/Product.asp?BigClassName=Radio%20Control%20System or http://www.skyartec.com/Download.asp?BigClassName=Sky701%20adjustment for a video to give you set up instruction. Generally the solution is easy and fun to do. Our hobby store has found that sometimes you may need to change the radio control crystals, but that is rare. I have heard several comments that some were having difficulty flying their WASP3. As a Dealer for Skyartec, I took those comments very seriously. I tried one, and there were some issues. I contacted Skyartec with my findings and they listened. Since then Skyartec has developed a system where every unit they manufacture is preflight tested. There is a vidio made of the test and there is a tag put on all their birds since. The tag system can be seen @ http://www.skyartec.com/Download.asp. Now our birds are truely RTF, and there is no adjustment needed. You can buy Skyartec helis with confidence.

I practising with my WASP 4 and had difficulty controling it. I was afraid of having it fly away on me and crash. I mentioned my plite to a seasoned flyer. He told me to attach a weight to the bottom center of the bird. He said to put just enough to allow lift off, at full throttle. He said ‘make sure it is in the center’. I tried it and it works great, it allows side and front to back movement. Later, I will remove a little weight so it will move more freely. I hope this will help others to fly ther ‘birds’.
